LILLIAN GALLAY, Psy.D
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Los Angeles.
I did my undergraduate work at Sarah Lawrence College and UCLA, where I majored in Philosophy and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I received my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, an APA-accredited program. As part of my graduate work, I published my clinical dissertation on artistic creativity and resolving creative blocks. I completed two years of pre- and post-doctoral training at Wright Institute Los Angeles, where I received specialized training in psychoanalytic theory and technique. I'm a current candidate at Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS), where I'm pursuing a second doctorate degree and certification as a psychoanalyst.
I’ve worked at a variety of clinical settings throughout Los Angeles, including Southern California Counseling Center, Santa Anita Family Services, and Bridges to Recovery Residential Treatment Center. I have experience working with adolescents, families, couples, adult individuals, and groups. In addition to the in-depth coursework and supervision I've undergone in the theory and practice of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapy, I also have training and experience in diverse areas of clinical interest, including mindfulness, trauma, and working with other mental health professionals.
